When and where is the conference?
Outlook 2015 is on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 March at the National Convention Centre, Canberra, ACT Australia. More details on the conference venue can be found on the National Convention Centre’s website.
Getting to Canberra
Canberra is serviced by the major airlines, with the airport located an approximate 20–25 minute taxi journey from the city centre. Regular interstate bus and train services also operate.
The conference venue – the National Convention Centre – is located on the edge of the city centre, a short walk from hotels, cafes, restaurants, banks and ATMs and other services.

Canberra has a range of places to stay, many located within easy walking distance of the conference venue. We encourage you to book your Canberra accommodation early as accommodation options may be at a premium - Parliament may be sitting and the conclusion of the Royal Canberra Show from 27 February - 1 March 2015.

Smart casual or business attire is appropriate for conference sessions. Business attire is suitable for the Outlook conference dinner.
If you have specific mobility or dietary requirements please note this on your registration form. ABARES and the National Convention Centre Canberra, will make every effort to meet to your requirements. During the conference, please see venue staff for assistance.

The networking aspect of the Outlook 2015 conference is a critical component of its success and you can continue networking with the aid of the delegates’ directory. Provided to delegates at the registration desk, the directory includes the name, organisation and email address of delegates who agree to be included. Your agreement for inclusion is noted on your registration form.
On request and under strict conditions, the directory may be made available to parties directly related to the conference, including Centium Software (online registration provider), and the conference venue.
ABARES, part of the Department of Agriculture, abides by the Privacy Act 1988. Your personal information will be used and stored in accordance with the Privacy Principles.
Your name, contact details and other information provided by you will be used by ABARES as follows:
- To process your registration and communicate updates pre and post Outlook 2015.
- For notification of conference related matters and other ABARES events, including news and publication releases.
- Subject to strict conditions of use, by event related sponsors and exhibitors.
The collection of personal information by the Department of Agriculture in relation to the ABARES Outlook 2015 conference is authorised under the Privacy Act 1988 for the purposes of registering individuals to attend the event and related purposes. If the relevant personal information requested in this registration form is not provided by you, the department may be unable to finalise your conference activities.
Personal information means any information or opinion about an identified, or reasonably identifiable, individual. We welcome your attendance at Outlook 2015 but regret that we are unable to help with visa applications. Please keep a copy of your confirmed registration as a basis of intent to travel. We do not issue letters of support or invitations to attend.

The conference program and registration information is correct at the time of production. However ABARES, as the organiser, reserves the right to vary information where necessary.
Exclusion of liability
The Commonwealth does not accept any liability for any misadventure (whether by way of travel accident, loss of property, injury, illness or any similar occurrence) that delegates may experience while attending the conference.
Registration fees do not include personal travel or injury insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that a travel insurance policy be taken out to cover loss, cancellation, medical cover etc.
Filming and photography
Photography and filming of sessions and participants will be undertaken at the conference and may be displayed online after the conference. Photos will be taken at sessions and social events and may be used in future promotional activities both print and online. If you have any concerns please speak to ABARES staff at the conference registration desk on site or email the ABARES Events team.
