Consultation on Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Regulations

​​The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources is consulting on proposed changes to regulations for agricultural and veterinary chemicals regulated by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA). The APVMA is the Australian Government independent regulator of agricultural and veterinary chemicals.

The proposed changes would amend the:

  • Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Administration) Regulations 1995
  • Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Regulations 1995
  • Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical Products (Collection of Levy) Regulations 1995.

The consultation is now open and submissions must be lodged by 20 February 2019.

  • read the consultation paper and exposure drafts of the regulation amendments
  • send a response by email.
