Returns for levies and charges can be lodged with the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources using Levies Online, an online system that allows you to calculate, lodge and track your returns.
You can use Levies Online to:
- update account details
- set reminder options
- track return history for the past twelve months
- check outstanding payments.
Once a return is lodged, any changes or requests for refund must be made directly to
the department’s Levies central office.
Access to Levies Online
To use Levies Online, you will need internet access. No additional applications are required.
Launch Levies Online
If you are submitting a levy return for the first time please ensure that you select the correct return period as the system will automatically default to the current period i.e. 2016/17.
If you experience any problems using Levies Online please select F5 for Windows users, Cmd + R for MacOS users on your keyboard to refresh the system.
If you have forgotten your Levies Online password, please enter your LRS Account Number in the Login screen and select the
‘I forgot my password’ link to receive your password via email.

First time users
register as an online user you will need:
- LRS account number
- Australian Business Number (ABN)
- email address.
There is no charge to
register for Levies Online.
If you do not have an LRS account number please
contact the levies team in your state or territory.
Returns that cannot be lodged online
Online lodgement is available for all returns, except for the following commodities:
- dried fruits – house packaging
- dried vine fruits
- egg promotion
- farmed prawns
- nursery products
- pasture seeds
Returns for these commodities must be submitted to the department using a
manual lodgement form.

Levies Online is password protected and all possible security arrangements have been made to protect your data. However, we recommend you consult your internet specialist to ensure you take all necessary security measures when logging on.
