About Outlook 2022

Welcome to ABARES Outlook 2022 conference

Outlook 2022 is a virtual conference, with 12 sessions running from Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 March 2022 and exploring the theme Growing agriculture through innovation and sustainability. There is no registration fee to attend the online sessions.

Register online now. Once you register you will receive a confirmation email from the ABARES Events Team. Just prior to the conference we will email your unique login details.

Delegates are required to register prior to the event. We encourage you to register early as there is a limit to delegate places. If you are subsequently unable to attend the session/s, let us know so we can reallocate your place to a delegate on the wait list.

Please be aware that registrations submitted after Monday 28 February will be delayed in receiving login details. If you are registering at the last minute you may not receive them before the conference starts. However, sessions can be watched on catch up.

When and where is Outlook 2022?

Outlook 2022 is wherever you are! It is online and runs from Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 March. There are three, one-hour sessions each day. Read the program to discover who’s speaking, the sessions on offer and issues that will be explored. 

Networking and new connections

Networking with delegates, our Spotlight trade stand exhibitors, speakers and chairs is an essential component of your Outlook 2022 experience, which continues in the virtual conference networking hub. We also provide a delegates’ directory to registered delegates, which includes the name, organisation and email of those who agree to be included. You can let us know if you’d like to be listed in the delegate directory when you register.

Spotlight, our virtual exhibition

ABARES is part of the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. As an Australian Government department, we are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), scheduled to the Privacy Act 1988 which regulate how government agencies collect, use, store and disclose personal information, and how individuals may access and correct personal information. We will collect information from you related to your conference registration, and other communication activities. If the relevant personal information requested is not provided by you, we may be unable to finalise your registration. The department’s privacy policy is available online.


The conference program and registration information is correct at the time of production. ABARES, as the organiser, reserves the right to vary information where necessary and where circumstances may be not within our control.

Exclusion of liability

The Commonwealth does not accept any liability for any misadventure (whether by way of travel accident, loss of property, injury, illness or any similar occurrence) that a delegate may experience while participating in the conference.

Cancellations and name changes

All cancellations or name changes must be advised via email to ABARES Events team. If you are unable to attend, please advise us so we can reallocate your place to a delegate on the wait list.

Conditions of registration

ABARES and the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment reserves the right to decline a registration or reassign a registration to another category based on its own research and/or information provided by the potential delegate.
