When and where is Outlook 2020?
Outlook 2020 is on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 March at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, Australia. More information about the venue is available on the National Convention Centre’s website, including accessibility. The venue is located on the edge of the city centre, a short walk from hotels, cafes and restaurants.
Canberra has a range of hotel options with many located in easy walking distance of the conference venue. We encourage you to book your Canberra accommodation early for competitive pricing and availability.

Smart casual or business attire is appropriate for conference sessions. Business attire is suitable for the Outlook conference dinner.
If you have specific mobility or dietary requirements you can advise us when you register online. ABARES and the National Convention Centre Canberra will make every effort to assist you. During the conference, please see National Convention Centre staff for assistance. For details on venue accessibility, visit the NCC website.
Networking with delegates, trade stand exhibitors, speakers and chairs is an essential component of your Outlook 2020 experience. Continue those conversations after the conference with the delegates’ directory. It’s provided to delegates when registering, and includes the name, organisation and email of those who agree to be included. You can nominate your preference for inclusion when you register online.
We welcome your attendance at Outlook 2020 but regret that we are unable to help with visa applications. Keep a copy of your confirmed registration as a basis of intent to travel. We do not issue letters of support or invitations to attend. Please refer to your nearest Australian consulate or embassy for further information about obtaining a visa.
The conference program and registration information is correct at the time of production. However ABARES, as the organiser, reserves the right to vary information where necessary.
Exclusion of liability
The Commonwealth does not accept any liability for any misadventure (whether by way of travel accident, loss of property, injury, illness or any similar occurrence) that delegates may experience while attending the conference.
Registration fees do not include personal travel or injury insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that a travel insurance policy be taken out to cover loss, cancellation, medical cover etc.
Filming and photography
Filming and photography of sessions and participants will be part of the conference during sessions and social functions, and may be used online during and after the conference, including on social media. If you have any concerns please speak to ABARES staff at the conference registration desk on site or email the ABARES Events team.
