How do I register?

Delegates can register and pay online through a secure website. Payment is in Australian dollars only.

Groups of four or more from the same organisation can register here and access the competitive group rate of $1,000 per person (discounted from $1,650). Note that all registrations must be submitted together and the rate cannot be applied in retrospect.

If you are registering on behalf of your colleagues, have their contact information, any dietary requirements and session preferences ready before you start. You are not be able to save the forms and come back later.

Registration prices

All prices are per person, include GST and in Australian dollars. Registrations must be paid in full when registering.

Full registration (two days including dinner):

  • $1,100 earlybird registration (before Friday 24 January 2020)
  • $1,650 standard registration (after Friday 24 January 2020)
  • $1,000 per person Group registration (minimum of four [4] delegates registering together)

One day registration (dinner not included):

  • $800

Conference dinner ticket only (for guests and day registrants)

  • $130

Conference dinner (included in full registration)

Venue: National Arboretum Canberra, Forest Drive, off Tuggeranong Parkway, Weston Creek ACT

Dress code: business attire

Dinner tickets are included in full registrations. Guests and day registrants are welcome to attend, with the purchase of an additional ticket, at $130 per person.

We regret refunds are not given on purchased or included dinner tickets; however you are welcome to allocate the ticket to another guest.

Keep your dinner ticket safe – it is your entry to the conference dinner.

Cancellations and refunds

All cancellations or name changes must be advised via email the ABARES Events team.

We understand that your attendance plans may change, so you can nominate a substitute delegate at any time and there is no fee for a change in delegate name.

Cancellations received before 14 February 2020 will have their registration cost refunded, less an administration fee of A$100. Refunds will be made by the same payment method and for credit cards, to the same credit card only.

We regret that delegates who cancel after this date will not be refunded. You can transfer your registration to a colleague and there is no fee for this. Please ensure you notify us so we can ensure changes and substitutes are recorded and new delegates welcomed to the conference. 

Conditions of registration

ABARES and the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment reserve the right to decline a registration or reassign a registration to another category based on its own research and/or information provided by the potential delegate. If a registration is declined any funds paid will be returned in full to the delegate via the same payment method. A registration reassigned to a higher value registration category will be required to pay the increased amount.  A registration reassigned to a lower value registration category will be refunded the difference via the same payment method.
