Statement: Allegations of non-compliance with live animal export regulations in Pakistan

20 May 2013

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) has assessed allegations made by Animals Australia in January 2013 regarding the post-arrival transport arrangements for a consignment of cattle exported to Pakistan for breeding purposes.

DAFF reviewed the information and sought further evidence from the complainant however, no further corroborating evidence could be provided.

Based on this, DAFF has determined there is insufficient information to commence an investigation.
