Nature of leases General description of leasing arrangement
Agreement for the provision of motor vehicles to senior executive officers. Leases of motor vehicles for operations. The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) is a party to the Commonwealth Fleet Management Agreement for the provision of vehicles from Leaseplan Australia Pty Ltd. An individual fixed rate is defined for each sub-agreement (vehicle). Retention of the vehicle past expiry date may result in a new lease sub-agreement.
Leases for office, laboratory or other accommodation. The department has leases for accommodation that are subject to adjustment on an annual fixed basis, to market values and to CPI increases. Renewal options vary from 1 to 5 years.

3 Project commitments recognise contractual obligations in relation to achieving departmental outcomes.

4  Goods and services commitments comprise contractual obligations and include the provision of legal and IT services.

5 Other commitments include membership subscriptions and contributions.
