Australian public service employee census
Each year our staff take part in the Australian Public Service Employee Census. All staff across the Australian Public Service were able to complete this survey between May and June.
The Census is an opportunity for staff to have their say on important workforce issues. This includes:
- job satisfaction
- employee engagement
- performance management
- general impressions of the Australian Public Service.
The Census results are used to inform strategies, policies, and evaluate initiatives. However, they need to be studied in context. They reflect the perceptions of employees at a point in time (May to June 2019).
We are releasing our Census results to be more transparent and accountable for providing a workplace that supports our people to deliver effective and efficient public services.
We protect the privacy of our staff.
Census reporting is subject to strict privacy rules. We don’t report results unless we have at least 10 staff responses.
