Networks to Build Drought Resilience
The 2021-22 Federal Budget provides an additional $4 million investment in Networks to Build Drought Resilience.
The Future Drought Fund is helping communities become more resilient.
The national program will support community organisations and networks, through projects that encourage connectedness in agricultural communities across Australia. The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) will deliver this program.
The FRRR will support community networks by funding activities that:
- strengthen the capacity and capability of the network organisations, including increasing the reach of network members
- facilitate professional, social and community network events which contribute to building a positive community culture
- provide training that improves the skills and capacity of network members
- improve community meeting places through supporting small-scale community infrastructure projects.
Together with FRRR, we’re focusing on boosting community connectedness and collaboration in agricultural communities. We are providing small-scale grants for community organisations, networks and infrastructure that supports drought resilience.
Interested parties are encouraged to apply directly with FRRR for a share in up to $2.3 million in the first of two rounds of funding for projects that encourage connectedness in agricultural communities or improve the skills and capacity of network members-helping communities become more resilient to the impacts of drought.
For more information including eligibility criteria and grant guidelines visit the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal website.
We publish details about funding recipients, the funding they receive, and the purpose of the funding. The tables below details the payment information for the Networks to Build Drought Resilience program, as required under the Future Drought Fund Act 2019.
