Forestry investment in Australia

Australia's production forestry continues to attract new investment in initiatives to add value to these resources. Our unique native forest resources, combined with our plantation estate, are supporting increasing investment in world class infrastructure and downstream processing capacity.

The National Forest Industries Plan, Growing a Better Australia – A Billion Trees for Jobs and Growth, provides a vision for Australia’s forestry industry and supports the forest industries as long-term growth engines for regional Australia.

Further information on Australia’s forest industry is published by the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES) in the State of the Forests Report and at ABARES' Forest Australia webpage.
