2022-22: Temporary redirection of Live Animal Exports general enquiries phone line

24 November 2022

Species: All

Countries: All

Attention

  • All stakeholders

Purpose

To advise that the department’s Live Animal Exports general enquiries phone line will be redirected from 30 November to 13 December 2022 to the Department’s Client contact number (1800 900 090) to allow for a building move.

Key points

  • The Department’s Canberra offices are moving with the Live Animal Export Branch required to work remotely for the period 30 November to 13 December 2022 to accommodate move logistics.
  • As a result, the Live Animal Exports general enquiries phone line will not be able to be answered during this period.
  • Instead, the Live Animal Exports general enquiries phone line will be redirected (forwarded) to the Department’s Client contact number (1800 900 090) who will answer basic general enquiries relating to all live animal exports or forward any relevant enquiries relating to livestock exports or complex matters to the Live Animal Export Branch by email for follow up.
  • Alternatively, stakeholders can email the livestockexp@agriculture.gov.au mailbox requesting a call back within the subject line.
  • Normal operation of the Live Animal Exports general enquiries phone line will resume on 14 December 2022.
