Live Animal Export Advisory Notices

Export advisory notices

Export advisory notices (EANs) inform exporters of livestock and livestock reproductive material on:

  • upcoming changes that may impact live export process or standards
  • recently implemented regulatory changes
  • items open for consultation
  • other information or notifications as needed.

We use EANs as a notification tool. We publish any ongoing requirements on relevant web pages.

We have a list of current EANs.

Market access notices

We use market access notices (MANs) to inform exporters of market access information related to live animals.

They may contain information:

  • relevant to specific export markets
  • on market sensitivities
  • on changes to requirements.

MANs contain on-going information and we will update previous notices as required. A current list is maintained on the Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor).

Subscribe

We use the same system and distribution list for EANs and MANs.

To receive EANs and MANs please subscribe. You can update your contact details as needed.

Turning EANs into notification tools

In 2022 we moved to use EANs as a notification tool only.

As part of this work, we are reviewing all previous EANs. We are moving any content that is current to appropriate locations. For example, we will include any requirements about approved arrangements in the approved arrangements guidelines.

This work is ongoing, and we are updating the current and expired/previous lists as we go.

This list contains EANs with current requirements. We will update this list as we move content onto relevant areas of our website.

Our full list of EANs contains information on recently expired EANs. This includes where we have moved any content.
