FIAC undertook the function of the Forest and Wood Products Council, which is required under section 11 of the Regional Forest Agreements Act 2002 (RFA Act), from 2014 until 2023. The Strategic Forest and Renewable Materials Partnership was established in 2023, and has assumed the role of the Forest and Wood Products Council.
