Accountability and reporting

The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources develops and implements policies and programmes to build a more profitable, more resilient and more sustainable agriculture sector to help drive a stronger Australian economy.

As an Australian Government agency, our decisions must be transparent, our policies credible and our practices fair and ethical. We strive to achieve well-coordinated, efficient and accountable public administration.
