Hobart Regional Outlook conference

ABARES held its  Hobart Regional Outlook conference on Wednesday 8 May.

We examined the key issues for agriculture at sessions on Tough choices to boost agricultural productivity and resilience; Growing Tasmanian agriculture and Forestry and fisheries in Tasmania.

ABARES, local and industry speakers discussed a range of issues including the latest commodity data and economic analysis, climate and weather trends, making hard choices on the future of farming, supply chain collaboration, the state of private forestry, and life after POMS.
