View the welcome message from ABARES Executive Director, Dr Jared Greenville

Welcome to our new quarterly newsletter, ABARES Essentials.

I’m Jared Greenville, the executive director of ABARES.

The aim of Essentials is simple – to keep you informed of the important work we do as the research arm of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

Our experts are the best in their field.

And now – through this newsletter - you can keep up to date with their insights and key forecasts in a more concise and engaging manner.

We’ll also give you a glimpse of ABARES in the wild.

We’ll take you on the road to our Regional Outlook conferences, to meetings where we engage with our international counterparts and to other events where we present ABARES research.

Finally, we’ll also keep you up to date with our upcoming releases and what we’re currently working on.

But for now, I hope you enjoy ABARES Essentials.

Take care.
