2024-30: NEXDOC – Wool, Skins and Hides Moving to NEXDOC

Date of issue: 19 November 2024

Dates of effect: 25 November 2024

Attention:

  • Registered wool, skins and hides (including feathers, deer antler velvet, trophies) exporters, manufacturers, agents, freight forwarders
  • Central and regional offices of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department)

Purpose

To notify stakeholders of the export certification templates available in NEXDOC from 25 November 2024

Key points

  • Further to IAN 2024-26 and 2024-27 there will be changes to the available manual certificates for the export of wool, skins and hides.
  • Most certificates will transition on 25 November 2024 and will only be available directly through NEXDOC. Please see Table 1 for details on the wool certificates transitioning to NEXDOC and Table 2 for the details of the skins and hides certificates transitioning to NEXDOC.
  • There will be a small number of certificates that will not transition to NEXDOC. These are certificates that were previously only available manually and were not available via EXDOC. Further information about applying for manual certification can be found here - Application for a government export certificate for non-prescribed goods - DAFF
  • The Department’s Manual of Importing Country Requirements will be updated to identify those certificates that will only be available via a manual application.
