Offshore inspections of military equipment

An offshore inspection is not a pre–clearance of biosecurity, but is designed to significantly minimise the biosecurity clearance requirements on arrival in Australia. Military equipment will still be subject to biosecurity intervention on arrival and a verification inspection will be conducted to ensure the goods arrive in a condition free from biosecurity risk material.

Please contact the Machinery and Military Team to discuss the application forms and guidelines relating to offshore inspections of military equipment.
