Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries—including vessel masters, freight forwarders, treatment providers, Biosecurity Industry Participants, importers, customs brokers, and principal agents— associated with importing goods that require increased intervention during the BMSB risk season.

129-2022: Change in validity period for import permits for fresh whole garlic bulbs for human consumption

Who does this notice affect?

This notice is for importers of fresh garlic bulbs for human consumption, approved arrangements, freight forwarders, brokers, and Pathway Operations Cargo – Assessment and Inspection.

What has changed?

On 15 August 2022, the validity period of import permits for fresh whole garlic bulbs for human consumption will be changing from one to two years.
