To notify manufacturers and exporters of amendments to the certification for live and non-viable oysters for Japan.

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system during this planned maintenance period.
Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, BICON users may experience several intermittent outages from 16:00 to 23:59 on Sunday 26 April 2020 (AEST).
Users are advised to frequently save any in-progress permit applications during this maintenance period.

This temporary change is relevant to importers of live animals who are required to use Australia’s Post Entry Quarantine (PEQ) facility at Mickleham.

The department is committed to supporting trade during the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The department is focusing on measures to expedite the assessment and issuance of import permits for arrange of goods including, but not limited to, products for diagnosis, testing, treatment and research of COVID-19, and live laboratory animals, food products, animal feeds, and fertiliser.
