The first WA RFA Annual Meeting of Officials took place on 11 March 2020. The meeting was attended by officials from the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment; the WA Government Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA); and the WA Forest Products Commission (FPC).
Government and industry share responsibility for managing the biosecurity risk associated with importing processed plant-based animal feed into Australia.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the department has enacted Business Continuity Plans (BCP), which include all biosecurity operations. Incident Management Teams are now meeting daily to discuss and progress any issues.
