If you are planning to import nursery stock (live plants) into mainland Australia or an Australian External Territory, you must complete the Import notification – nursery stock form and email or fax it to the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment.

For full container load consignments, the form must be received before the container is shipped.

For all other consignments, the form must be received at least 7 working days prior to arrival in Australia.

The purpose of the external Territory – Norfolk Island web pages is to convey recent amendments made to the Biosecurity Legislation (Prohibited and Conditionally Non-prohibited Goods) Determination 2016. The content of these pages provides/communicates the latest import requirements, specifically the health certification requirements, for cats and dogs being imported into Norfolk Island. These pages will be utilised by the Norfolk Island community and industry.
