Purpose

To advise the lychee industry that applications are now open for growers to nominate orchards/blocks for export to the United States of America (USA) and for packhouses and treatment facilities to apply for export to the USA in the 2016-17 season.

Who does this notice affect?

This notice is of interest to clients of the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (the department) who import/ export goods to and from Australia.  

What has changed?

Revised biosecurity and export certification fees and charges will come into effect on 1 December 2015 following a decision to postpone implementation of the new arrangements.

48-2015 - Authorised Officer Program – Release of instructional material for documentation certification and validation

Purpose

To advise industry and Authorised Officers (AOs) of new instructional material for the issuance of export certification that is now accessible on the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources website. The instructional material will provide national consistency and information for clients to ensure all documentation provided for issuance of certification is acceptable to the department.
