If you are involved in the export of plants and plant products, you may need to complete and submit documents to us. These show that your products comply with plant export laws.
The type of documents you must submit will depend on your commodity and the importing country requirements.
Prescribed goods, empty containers and empty bulk vessels for export must be inspected by a plant export Authorised Officer (AO). To arrange an inspection by a departmental AO, you must complete a request for plant exports inspection appointment form.
Contact details as to where to submit the appointment form are provided in the Guidelines document.

This register lists contact details and accreditations for plant export authorised officers who have consented to having their details being made public.
Job function codes and the commodities that can be inspected under each job function code are outlined in the Exports reference: Table of authorised officer job functions.
This course has been designed for Authorised Officer (AO) candidates wanting to supervise and document the phytosanitary treatment of prescribed plants and plant products for export.
Prior to supervising and documenting export phytosanitary treatments, you must be appropriately trained, deemed competent and appointed by the department for the job function TRE3001: Export phytosanitary treatments.
