The Non Red Meat Industry Consultative Committee (NRMICC) was created in July 2014 to discuss the Package Assisting Small Exporters (PASE), specifically the rebate and the project components of PASE.
A broader meat industry consultative committee is being used for the fees and charges review component of PASE.
On 14 February 2018, the cross-jurisdictional National Biosecurity Committee (NBC) established the Environment and Invasives Committee (EIC). The EIC replaced the Invasive Plants and Animals Committee (IPAC), whose responsibilities have now been taken on by the new EIC.

The draft report was released for a 60 day consultation period from 25 August 2016 until 25 October 2016.

The department has prepared the Draft group pest risk analysis for thrips and tospoviruses on fresh fruit, vegetable, cut-flower and foliage imports.
The draft group pest risk analysis analyses the biosecurity risk posed by groups of pests with similar biological characteristics across numerous import pathways.

EXDOC is a software application developed by the department for the purpose of managing export documentation for primary produce.

We have strict biosecurity import conditions to keep Australia rabies free. Rabies is a serious viral disease that affects many animals. It can infect humans and more than 60,000 people die of rabies every year.
We only allow cats and dogs to be imported from a country approved by us. We refer to this as an ‘approved country’.
