DAFF Biosecurity has been advised by the National Plant Protection Organisation of Bangladesh, the Department of Agricultural Extension, Plant Protection Wing, of new import conditions for wheat which provides an alternative to requiring treatment details endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate.

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) rescinds IAN 2012/11 after receiving clarification from Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development confirming that grains (consumption and stockfeed), malt and vegetables are not included in Decision 34 and do not require an import permit.

2012-11 - Plant Exports - Vietnam - Import Permit required for Plant and Plant Product Imports

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) has been advised that an import permit is required for all plant and plant product imports into Vietnam.

To avoid delays in the clearance of plant and plant product consignments exported from Australia, it is recommended that exporters obtain a copy of a valid import permit.

2012-09 - Plant Export Operations - New Import Conditions for Wheat and Barley to Iran

DAFF Biosecurity has been advised by the National Plant Protection Organisation of Iran of new import conditions for wheat (consumption and stockfeed) and barley (stockfeed).

Micor Plants has been updated with these new conditions and compliance with import conditions is required for phytosanitary certificates to be issued.
