Exporters must meet our minimum animal health and welfare conditions to export livestock. These are outlined in the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock (ASEL). ASEL applies to cattle, sheep, goats, buffalo, deer, and camelids (including alpaca).
We enforce ASEL under our regulatory framework.

Where biosecurity measures have been required under part 1 of Chapter 3 or Chapter 6 of the Biosecurity Act 2015, the person in charge of the goods may notify the Director of Biosecurity that they do not wish to take possession of the goods.
The completed form is to be submitted to Air and Sea Cargo.
