The Australian Government has agreed to industry’s request to increase the levy payable amount for both the laying chicken levy and the meat chicken levy to repay industry’s share costs for seven emergency responses to Avian Influenza.
From 1 April 2015, the levies payable for laying chickens and meat chickens are:
