For some products, we maintain a database of the details of individuals and organisations who pay levies and charges. We call this a levy payer register (LPR).
We establish each levy payer register on request by the relevant research and development corporations (RDCs). The aim is to enable RDCs, as key levy recipient bodies, to identify and consult directly with the levy and charge payers who fund their activities.

From 1 July 2019, the Emergency Plant Pest Response (EPPR) levy for bananas will decrease from 0.75 cents per kilogram to nil.
From 1 July 2018, the marketing component of the mushrooms levy, currently set at $3.24 per kilogram of mushroom spawn sold, will decrease to $2.92 per kilogram of mushroom spawn sold.
From 1 July 2018, the EPPR component of the honey levy and charge will decrease from 2.9 cents per kilogram to 2.7 cents per kilogram. The NRS component will increase from 0.1 cents per kilogram to 0.3 cents per kilogram.
From 1 July 2017, tea tree oil that is produced in Australia and sold by a producer, or that is exported, will attract a levy or charge. The tea tree oil levy and charge rate comprises Emergency Plant Pest Response (EPPR) and research and development (R&D), as shown in the table below:
Starting 1 July 2016, an Emergency Plant Pest Response (EPPR) levy of 5 cents per cubic metre of logs will be introduced on exotic softwood trees of the genus Pinus sp.
Starting 1 July 2016, the overall rate for the deer velvet and deer export levy will be set to zero.
Starting 1 July 2016, the research and development (R&D) and Plant Health Australia (PHA) component of the citrus levy will increase. The overall rate increase for the citrus levy is shown in the table below:
