Who does this notice affect?

This notice affects importers, import industry participants, the airline and shipping industries and other people bringing goods into Australia. Goods include cargo (commercial and non-commercial), mail and personal effects (i.e moveable property).

Committees that deal with Animal Health

​​Australia's terrestrial and aquatic animal health management policies and programs are coordinated nationally by a series of government committees.

The committees range from scientific (technical/operational) committees devoted to animal health up to a forum at ministerial level where a part of its work addresses animal health issues that require high-level policy endorsement.

Bovine germplasm comparison project—Australia, Canada, New Zealand and United States

Australia’s bovine genetics trade with Canada, New Zealand and the United States is important for our cattle industry.

To make trade easier between the four countries, Australia recently participated in a joint project aimed at gaining a better understanding of each country’s bovine genetic export systems.
