Registered eggs exporters, manufacturers, agents, freight forwarders, approved export permit issuers and EDI users.

Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) - Central and Regional offices.

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise exporters of planned outages for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system.

Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned maintenance period.

All clients who will be required to make an online payment during this planned maintenance period.

All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System during this planned maintenance period.

Who does this notice affect?

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who will be required to book and manage requests for import inspections using the Biosecurity Portal during this scheduled maintenance window. 

All users of the Seasonal Pests (SeaPest) system.

Information

Due to scheduled system maintenance, the following departmental systems will experience an outage between 22:00 Tuesday 04 June and 02:00 Wednesday 05 June 2024 (AEST):

Who does this notice affect?

Biosecurity industry participants who have approved arrangements (under Chapter 7 of the Biosecurity Act 2015), particularly the managers and contact persons for these approved arrangements.

What has changed?

The department is introducing a new, more convenient way for the staff of biosecurity industry participants to access information about their approved arrangements - the Approved Arrangements Management Product (AAMP).
