Purpose
This Market Access Advice (MAA) reminds exporters to comply with certification requirements for exporting milk and milk products to Vietnam.
Key points
- The description of goods on government certificates for exports of milk and milk products to Vietnam must exactly match the product label.
- When raising a Request for Export (REX), exporters must enter the product label description in the ‘Manual product description’ field in the Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system for each product line of the REX.
Important: Shipments may be detained or rejected on arrival in Vietnam if the certificate description does not match the product label.
- Exporters are strongly advised to work closely with their importer to ensure all products comply with current importing country requirements.
Micor
The Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor) will be updated to reflect this MAA. The department encourages users of Micor to subscribe to the Micor update service for a commodity-specific email that lists changes that have been made in the preceding week.
