IAN 2024-12: Fish – Transition of EX26 applications to Export Service

Date of issue: 26 September 2024

Date of effect: Immediate

Attention:

  • Registered fish manufacturers, agents and freight forwarders
  • Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) - Central and Regional offices.

Purpose

To provide notice that EX26 applications have transitioned to the Export Service.

What has changed?

EX26 applications have been upgraded to a new, fully digital format and must now be submitted through the Export Service. The use of paper-based or PDF EX26 forms for registering, varying or revoking an establishment has been completely phased out.

What are the benefits of the Export Service?

Having an Export Service account and submitting applications via the Export Service will contribute to faster application processing timeframes and offer other benefits including;

  • the ability to view and edit your establishment details
  • the ability to identify and edit people in management or control at your establishment
  • ability to track your applications progress
  • the option to withdraw your application
  • a record of all your applications submitted and their status
  • self-populated fields to minimise data entry
  • unique application reference numbers for application tracking
  • a streamlined, electronic workflow between users for smoother processing
  • commodity logic to simplify and improve the accuracy of forms submitted.

Action

ALL establishments seeking to register, vary or revoke an establishment must now submit their application through the Export Service. To get started, please register for the Export Service.

Follow the step-by-step guide to complete your registration.

If you require assistance registering with the Export Service, you can contact the helpdesk on 1800 571 125 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm AEST or via email exportservice@aff.gov.au.
