In accordance with its usual policy, the department undertook an investigation into the mortality event. The findings of the investigation indicated mortalities were caused by injuries resulting from rough seas. Since the incident, Australian Rural Exports Pty Ltd has undertaken 26 voyages with cattle to Indonesia, Vietnam and China with no reportable incidents. |
