This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to notify industry the public consultation period for the draft Food Export Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (CRIS) has been extended until 10 January 2020.
Summary of changes and key points
- The draft 2019–20 Food Export CRIS was released on 10 October 2019 and the previous closing date for submissions was 10 December 2019.
- The department has recently held Stakeholder engagement sessions, including one scheduled in Perth for 11 December 2019.
- Given the timing of these engagement sessions, and feedback from stakeholders, we will provide additional time for submissions, until 10 January 2020.
- If you wish to provide feedback on the proposed charging adjustments please make a submission via the Have Your Say platform.
We are revising our exports cost recovery arrangements to ensure their ongoing financial sustainability and to reflect the current regulatory business model.
Through this process, a new CRIS for the food export cost recovery arrangements has been drafted outlining the costs associated with the delivery of export regulatory activities and providing a set of proposed charging adjustments.
We are conducting public consultation to seek feedback from industry and other affected stakeholders on the proposed charging adjustments. The public consultation is taking place via our Have Your Say stakeholder engagement platform on our website.
