Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) advises industry that certification for Other Goods to the Republic of Korea will no longer be included in the transition to the NEXDOC system on 12 May 2025. Export certification for Other Goods to China, Hong Kong, and Macau will continue to move into the Next Export Documentation System (NEXDOC) on Monday, 12 May 2025.
Summary of changes and key points
Certification for Other Goods being exported to the Republic of Korea will not be transitioning to the Next Export Documentation System (NEXDOC) on 12 May 2025.
The department will advise you of the new transition date in due course.
Export certification for Other Goods to China, Hong Kong, and Macau will continue to move into the NEXDOC system on Monday, 12 May 2025.
Process to obtain export documentation for the Republic of Korea
Exporters to the Republic of Korea will need to continue applying for export certification manually until further notice from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. Please continue to apply for manual certification in the same way you always have.
Process to obtain export certification for China, Macau and Hong Kong
From 12 May 2025, manual certificate applications (EX188B, EX188M and M418) for Other Goods will no longer be accepted for China, Hong Kong, and Macau. You will need to apply for the newly named NX188B (previously EX188B), NX188M (previously EX188M) and NX418 (previously M418) through the NEXDOC system.
