2022-03: EU Health Certificate changes in accordance with the model certificate requirements

Purpose

To notify manufacturers and exporters of changes to the European Union (EU) model health certificate requirements from 15 June 2022. Consequently, export certification for the specified commodities will not be available until further notice.

Summary of key points

  • On 15 June 2022, the European Union implemented new requirements for health certification for certain commodities as published on Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/36.
  • Export certificates on outdated templates that have been signed after 15 June 2022 will not be accepted at EU ports.
  • The department has not yet revised the following certificate templates in accordance with the new EU requirements by the implementation date. Consequently, the following certificate templates will not be available for a short period of time until the templates have been updated by the department:

  • The department is currently developing the above certificates to facilitate trade of the affected products as soon as possible. It is anticipated that this process will take several weeks.
  • If you have exported or intend to export products affected by this notice, please contact the department at ExportStandards@awe.gov.au.
