17 December 2007
On 26 December 2007 EXDOC certification will be unavailable. Manual documentation must be used. Relevant trading partners have been advised.
The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service’s Canberra office relocated during November/December 2007. The Horticulture & Grain Export Programs commenced operations at the new office on 26 November 2007.
The Department’s information technology infrastructure will relocate to the new building during the Christmas/New Year holiday period. As a consequence the electronic documentation (EXDOC) system will not operate on the 26 December 2007.
AQIS recommends all clients to obtain export certification before the 26 December 2007. If emergency export documentation is required on the 26 December 2007, exporters will be required to use manual documents. For more information on requirements please contact Bev Beacham on 02 6272 5728.
AQIS further recommends that all clients review their contingency plans to ensure that their systems are adequate whenever EXDOC is unavailable.
Contingency arrangements will be in place during the EXDOC outage on the 26 December 2007, and Bev Beacham will be able to be contacted on telephone number – 0409 904 241.
