2022-51: Relocation of Melbourne regional office-postponed

05 August 2022

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise stakeholders that the relocation of all Melbourne based offices into one new office location has been postponed.

Summary of changes and key points

This notice affects clients and service providers who interact face-to-face with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry at its following Melbourne based offices:

  • Customs House, Corner Grants and Centre Road, Melbourne Airport VIC 3045
  • 255 Melrose Drive, Tullamarine VIC 3043
  • Lot 2/5 McClure Road Kensington VIC 3031

As per previous advice to industry, the department was expecting to relocate its Melbourne offices into 1–21 Dean Street, Moonee Ponds in mid-July 2022, however, this has been postponed to mid-August 2022.

Export Certification (except for Live Animals)

Certificates will continue to be available for collection at 255 Melrose Drive Tullamarine until COB Monday 22 August 2022.

We will relocate to our new site and certificates will be available for collection at 1-21 Dean Street Moonee Ponds from 8.00 am Tuesday 23 August 2022.

All other clients including Export Live Animals Certification

Services will relocate on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August 2022, should you require services at our offices over this period please make arrangements with your normal Departmental contact.

The first business day at our new site will be Monday 15 August 2022.

The department will not be providing general parking arrangements to clients however there are a range of paid and un-paid on-street parking options within a 5-minute walk of the new office should they be required.

A video has been created to demonstrate movement through the Moonee Ponds location from ground floor to our reception.

Background

Following a review of future accommodation requirements we decided to relocate the Melbourne based offices to Moonee Ponds. Centralising 3 existing sites into one office will strengthen integration across our business and will enhance our ability to deliver services.

For further information, please refer to IANs 2020-36, 2020-03 and 2022-16.
