2024-12: Plant Export Operations – Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor) user account audit

18 March 2024

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to inform stakeholders that we will be conducting an audit on Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor) user accounts.

Summary of changes and key points

  • From 18 March 2024, we will be conducting an audit on all Micor user accounts.
  • Clients who have accessed the Micor Plants document section with log-in credentials within the last 12 months will continue to maintain access.
  • Clients who have not accessed the Micor Plants document section with log-in credentials between 12 – 24 months will be contacted by us.
  • Clients who have not accessed the Micor Plants document section with log-in credentials for over 24 months will have their account removed.
  • An email with instructions on actions required in order to maintain Micor access will be sent to user accounts identified in the 12 – 24-month inactivity period.
  • If no action is taken, the account will be closed, and the user will need to re-register if access is required in the future.
  • Following the first user audit of Micor Plants, audits will continue quarterly to maintain the systems integrity.

Background

We are building our cyber security capabilities and have conducted an audit into our IT systems. Recommendations were made regarding improving the system integrity through better maintenance of user profiles.

Micor plants requires log-in credentials for both internal and third-party users to access work plan and protocol documents. Access is reviewed by the Micor Plants team and provided to individuals participating in plant export pathways for protocol markets.

Clients can access the work plan and protocol Documents through the document section on the Micor website.

Stakeholder responsibilities

Stakeholders who receive an email from us regarding their Micor access should follow the actions outlined in the email to ensure current access is maintained.
