Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise industry that exports of capsicums, chillies and tomatoes to New Caledonia is suspended due to the detection of Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV).
Summary of changes and key points:
- The New Caledonia National Plant Protection Organisation, The Direction des Affaires Vétérinaires, Alimentaires et Rurales (DAVAR) has advised that, effective immediately, the export of all capsicums, chillies and tomatoes produced in Australia to New Caledonia has been suspended.
- Commodities affected:
- Capsicums (Capsicum annuum)
- Chillies (Capsicum annum and Capsicum frutescens)
- Tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum, also known as Lycopersicon esculentum).
- Micor has been updated to reflect the suspensions.
