Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to notify industry of a scheduled outage for multiple departmental systems that provide an online payments service.
Summary of changes and key points
The following exports systems will be unavailable from 11:00pm Thursday 4 September 2025 to 3:00am Friday 5 September 2025 (AEST) due to the engagement of a new service provider for online payments:
- Plant Exports Management System (PEMS)
- Online Payment Portal (OPP).
Background
From Friday 5 September 2025, the Government EasyPay (GEP) service is transitioning to a new service provider. The GEP service facilitates online payments for a range of services initiated via departmental systems.
Online payments can be made via our secure online payment service by using a valid credit or debit card. Whilst there is no change to our processes for online payments, we have been advised that the new GEP service may use a 2-factor authentication process to authenticate the card holder with the card issuer.
