13 July 2026
Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to inform plant export clients and stakeholders of an update to the email contact details for the Export Documentation System (EXDOC) Plant Program.
Summary of changes and key points
- From 20 July 2026, the EXDOC Plant Program email address will change from EXDOCPlantPrograms@aff.gov.au to PlantExportSystems@aff.gov.au in preparation of the transition of plant commodities to the Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system.
- Emails sent to the ‘EXDOC Plant Programs’ email address between 20 July 2026 and 14 August 2026 will be automatically forwarded to the new ‘Plant Exports Systems’ email address. During this period, stakeholders using the older email address will be notified of the change via an auto response.
- After 14 August 2026, emails sent to the ‘EXDOC Plant Programs’ email address will no longer be forwarded. Senders will receive an automated response advising them to use the new email address.
Background
- The department is progressively transitioning export documentation from EXDOC to NEXDOC as part of a staged, commodities-based rollout.
- NEXDOC is a modern, digital platform that replaces EXDOC and enhances export certification processes by improving traceability, integrating with other systems, and reducing reliance on manual processes.
- Plant commodities are the next commodity group due to transition to NEXDOC as part of the department’s staged rollout.
- This email address change supports readiness for the system transition.
Industry responsibilities
Stakeholders should update their records on 20 July 2026 to ensure all future correspondence is directed to the new email address.
