122-2014 - Automatic Entry Processing for Commodities Scheme - Changes to Training Facilitation

22 December 2014

Who does this notice affect?

The following information will affect parties operating or wishing to operate under the Automatic Entry Processing for Commodities (AEPCOMM) Scheme, as well as interested registered training organisations (RTOs).

Background:

The Department of Agriculture (the department) has reviewed the content of TLIX5054A – Comply with Biosecurity Border Clearance and is satisfied that it meets the department’s requirements for AEPCOMM accreditation. In light of these considerations, the department will recognise the completion of both TLIX5054A - Comply with Biosecurity Border Clearance offered by Registered Training Organisations or AEPCOM02 – AEP for Commodities Scheme offered by AIWGB for the accreditation of the AEPCOMM scheme from 1 December 2014.

What has changed?

As of 1 December 2014, the department will recognise both the completion of the unit of competency   TLIX5054A – Comply with Biosecurity Border Clearance or AEPCOM02 – AEP for Commodities Scheme offered by AIWGB, as acceptable for accreditation under the AEPCOMM scheme.

Details relating to this unit of competency, including RTOs currently delivering the unit of competency can be found on the training.gov.au website.

Details relating to AEPCOM02 – AEP for Commodities Scheme offered by AIWGB can be found on the Guardian Website.

Note: Persons currently accredited under the AEPCOMM Scheme will remain accredited. Any changes to the re-accreditation process will be provided in a future notice. It is a requirement that persons wanting to obtain AEPCOMM accreditation must be accredited for the Non commodity for Containerised Cargo Clearance (NCCC) Scheme.

When will this industry notice become effective?

This advice will take effect immediately and remain in effect until further notice.
