Information

As of 1 February 2020, the Department of Agriculture was renamed the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment.

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment is an amalgamation of an important portfolio of work to better align functions and responsibilities, ensuring the department can deliver the government’s broad environmental and agricultural agenda. It will be business as usual and this change will not affect the regulatory functions performed by the department.

Departmental website

The website for the new department is www.awe.gov.au. You can access the department’s Import page by selecting Importing under the Agriculture heading at the bottom of the homepage or via the following link https://www.agriculture.gov.au/import.

Departmental email addresses

Email addresses will now appear as first.lastname@aff.gov.au, however all emails sent to @aff.gov.au will be received as normal. Full transition of email addresses to @aff.gov.au will be completed later this year and we will inform you when these changes occur.
