Who does this notice affect?
The following information is relevant to Biosecurity industry participants and accredited persons under the Class 19.1 Non commodity for containerised cargo clearance (NCCC) and Class 19.2 Automatic entry processing for commodities (AEPCOMM) approved arrangements. This information is also relevant to industry organisations that deliver Continued biosecurity competency (CBC).
What has changed?
The department has updated the Training and accreditation for approved arrangements webpage to include information regarding CBC requirements for the current CBC period (1 April 2020 – 31 March 2021) for approved persons under the Class 19 approved arrangements.
At this stage there will be only one CBC activity for Class 19.2 AEPCOMM accredited persons. This will be scheduled in the second half of 2020. If necessary the department may schedule additional activities however, notification to industry will be provided if changes apply during this CBC period.
