33-2023: Implementation of the Learnhub Education and Training Platform for class 19 accredited persons

17/02/2023

Who does this notice affect?

Biosecurity Industry Participants and accredited persons operating under the department’s class 19.1 non-commodity for containerised cargo clearance (NCCC) & class 19.2 automatic entry processing for commodities (AEPCOMM) approved arrangements.

What has changed?

From 28 April 2023, the department will be extending its use of the Learnhub education and training platform (Learnhub) to accredited persons who operate under the class 19 approved arrangements. This extension is in response to industry feedback to have a central repository for all education and training material.

Learnhub provides a central location where Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC) sessions, training and other resources including historical activities and webinars will be accessible to accredited persons.

Accredited persons will have a single-entry point to access and manage all education and training material via Learnhub.

For industry engagement, it will provide support through access to additional training and education resources.

In preparation for this change, the department will contact accredited persons and biosecurity industry participants to notify them of the Learnhub rollout and request that they provide their current email address and ensure their contact details are up to date.

Will the CBC sessions be facilitated in Learnhub?

The 23/24 CBC cycle will be facilitated through the new Learnhub platform from 28 April 2023. Accredited persons must log into Learnhub to complete their 23/24 CBC webinar session. However, the CBC providers will still conduct the CBC assessment on their platform as per previous cycles.

What are the benefits of using Learnhub?

CBC information and webinars are currently published on the departments website and are updated every year. Learnhub will be a central location where CBC courses and other training resources including historical activities and webinars will be maintained.

You will be able to login to Learnhub to see notifications, new course material and information relating to CBC assessments.

What do you need to do?

All accredited persons will be required to have an email address that is unique to them to allow access to the Learnhub platform.

Your email address will be used to log in to Learnhub. The email address we have recorded for you must be unique. This means that generic email addresses can not be used. The email address must be accessible, even when you change employers.

We will email accredited persons using their current recorded email address. If accredited persons have not updated their email address or they share an email address with other individuals, they must provide an updated email address by 29 March 2023.

In addition, Learnhub instructional material will be published on the departments CBC webpage in due course to support accredited persons during this transition.

When does this notice take effect?

The Learnhub education training platform will be effective from 28 April 2023.
