Who does this notice affect?
Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries — including importers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, vessel masters, biosecurity industry participants and shipping agents.
Information
The department is aware of the CrowdStrike IT outage and advises that there are currently no known impacts to department importing/biosecurity systems and that scheduled assessment and inspection work is continuing as planned.
We are continuing to closely monitor the situation and will advise industry of any potential impacts should they occur.
Stakeholders are advised to be alert to potential scams and malicious websites. The department strongly encourages stakeholders to source technical information updates from official CrowdStrike sources only. Further information is available at Cyber.gov.au.
