Who does this notice affect?
All clients required to use Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry web-based applications during this planned maintenance period.
All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system during this planned maintenance period.
Information
Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, users of the following systems may experience several 15-minute outages between 23:00 Thursday 14 March and 02:00 Friday 15 March 2024 (AEDT).
- The department’s website
- Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON)
- Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS)
- Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS)
- Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS)
BICON users will not be able to complete the following operations:
- Create new import permit applications
- Access help files and other documents
- Account management such as password resets, creating new accounts or joining existing accounts
The following functions will continue to be available:
- Search and review of biosecurity import conditions
- Submission of previously drafted import permit applications
BICON users will not receive system emails. Emails will queue and be sent at the conclusion of the maintenance period.
Action
Users are advised to avoid using web-based departmental applications during the above maintenance window.
BICON users are advised to avoid applying for import permits during this planned maintenance period.
