Who does this notice affect?
Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who are required to book and manage requests for inspections through the Biosecurity Portal using the ‘Sign in with your Digital ID’ (myID) pathway.
Approved arrangement operators attempting to access online reports of entries referred to the department for biosecurity assessment, or management under a class 19 Approved Arrangement, via the Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST).
Approved arrangements operators who will be required to view electronic government certificates (eCertificates) and relevant attachments online via external verification for eCertificates (EVE) as part of document assessment for imported goods.
All users of the departments Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) System ‘Continue with Digital Identity’ pathway.

Detail:
Due to an unplanned outage to the Identity Exchange (hosted by Services Australia), downstream systems and services which require myID and Relationship Authorisation Manager to access are also experiencing an unplanned outage.
As a result, the following systems and services are currently experiencing an unplanned outage:
- Biosecurity Portal – ‘Sign in with your Digital ID’ (myID) pathway
- BCST
- EVE
- NEXDOC – ‘Continue with Digital Identity’ pathway
- The Australian Taxation Office’s RAM website
The following departmental systems and login pathways are not impacted during the unplanned outage and can be accessed as normal:
- Approved Arrangement Management Product (AAMP)
- Biosecurity Portal – ‘Sign in with your email address to access’ (‘Other User’)
- NEXDOC – ‘Email or AgID’, Software
This issue is being investigated as a high priority by Services Australia and the department.
Action
For clients of the Biosecurity Portal requiring URGENT inspection booking requests, please:
- Make these bookings via the ‘Sign in with your email address to access’ (‘Other User’) pathway; or
- Please contact the department by phone on 1800 900 090.
For clients of the remaining impacted systems or who do not require urgent inspection booking requests:
- Please await restoration of services before attempting to access these services.
The department will advise once this issue has been resolved, and services have been restored. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
